Cole's Lush Confectionery

The Cole's team approached us to create a light branding package for the bakery idea called "Cole's Lush Confectionery" or "Cole's" for short. Their aim was to start as a delivery-only business that eventually transitioned to a brick-and-mortar location. Since the owner, Cole is autistic, they wanted to incorporate the autism puzzle into the design.

The color palette is bright and saturated with color, bringing a sense of joy to the packaging around these sweet treats. Since the autism puzzle already contains four colors and a busy pattern, our main objective was to simplify and hone the focus of the idea. We wanted the typography of "Cole's" to be front and center instead of the puzzle.

The Logo

We settled upon the idea of a cupcake, as this is Cole's favorite treat to bake. The main focus of the logo needed to be the name of the business rather than the autism puzzle, so we made sure the hierarchy of the logo reflected this. "Cole's" became the frosting as the puzzle turned into the paper wrapper.
